Sripuram Golden Temple
The Srilakshmi Narayani Golden Temple is located in Sripuram, also known as Tirumalaikodi (or Malaikodi) near Vellore in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu.
It is 120 km from Tirupati. At a distance of 145 km from Chennai. At a distance of 160 km from Puducherry. in distance and 200 km from Bengaluru. Also located far away.
Kudamuzku Vaipavam for Srilakshmi Narayani, who is the lord of wealth in this temple, was held on 24th August 2007.
People of all faiths come here and enjoy the temple.
Because this temple is covered with gold plates made using 1500 kg of pure gold.
This is twice the size of the inner flight (750 kg of gold) of the Golden Temple in Amritsar.
Structure of the temple
The entire temple is covered with 1,500 kg gold plates.
The Srilakshmi Narayani sanctum vimana and artha mandapam in this temple are covered with pure gold plates.
The temple is spread over 100 acres of beautiful gardens in a star formation at Srichakram.
The temple was built by Narayani Peedam, a foundation based in Vellore.
It is headed by Sri Shakti Amma, a spiritualist. She is also known as “Mother Narayani”.
Also, the temple has won the country’s best eco-complex award as well as the ‘Green Temple’ award.
1,500 kg of gold, made by skilled artisans, the temple has a lot of intricate work.
Every detail is created by hand, which involves a lot of delicate work, including turning gold bars into gold plates and then mounting the gold foil onto the copper plates.
Etched copper plates are coated with 9 to 10 layers of gold foil. Every detail in the temple architecture is given importance from the Vedas.
This temple is built in star shape. On either side of the temple’s star-shaped path are banners inscribed with spiritual messages.
So all the devotees can read the news while walking on the path.

Sri Narayani Hospital and Research Center is located near the Sri Puram Temple complex.
It is also run by Narayani Peedam Foundation.

Sripuram Golden Temple is a great tourist attraction. So people are visiting this temple every day.
Vellore being a central location, tourists come from many states of India.
Also, the decorative arches, mandapams and facades surrounding the Golden Temple shine in modern lighting to attract the passers-by on the main road of Vellore at night.
Significance of Vellore Golden Temple:
The Mahalakshmi Temple or Artha Mandapam and Vimana is a temple of Lakshmi Narayan with pure gold plating both inside and outside.
Sri Narayani Peedam of Vellore has designed the temple and is the religious leader of Sri Shakti Amma, also known as Narayani Amma.
There are intricate designs on the forehead protecting gold and artistic patterns on silver.
Even in the evening, the light is set to hit the forehead. The forehead contains more than 1500 kg of gold.
There was a unique creation of details such as turning the gold parts into gold plates and increasing the birdwatcher’s gold plates.
The Sripuram design represents a star-shaped path (Sri Chakra) spanning over 1.8 km in the center of the lush green surroundings.
Sahasra Deepam or 1008 lamps is a sacred installation here.
Along with messages from the Gita, the Bible and the Koran, there are messages from ‘Mother’ on the way to the temple.
