3.Dietary change: Changing the baby from liquid food to solid food at an early stage can make digestion difficult if it is also low in fiber.

4. Change in routine: Circumstances that change the routine like travel, change in weather, stress, school start time can cause reluctance to defecate.

5. Other Causes: Other causes of constipation in children include medications, allergies, family history, metabolic-digestive problems, sedentary lifestyle, lack of fluids in the body etc.

The first major symptom of constipation is having fewer than three bowel movements in a week. Other symptoms to look out for in a child are: hard stools, difficulty passing stools, painful stools, bowel sounds, abdominal pain – swelling, bleeding during stools.

If the child is often irritable and seems to stand on tiptoe uncomfortably while passing stool, it is a sign of constipation.

Understandably, they are trying to avoid defecation due to constipation. Painful bowel movements can lead to child retention of stool.

Flax seeds are also rich in fiber. You can add flax seeds to your daily diet.

You can take some flax seeds in warm water even early in the morning. This will help relieve your constipation.

 

Guava fruit

 

Guava fruit contains water-soluble fiber. They aid in the production of mucus in the anus and in peristalsis (a series of contractions within the intestinal lining that help move food through the stomach). This makes stool come out easily. There will be no problems like constipation.

 

Lemon juice

 

Ayurvedic doctors only recommend lemon juice to relieve your constipation. A mixture of warm water with lemon juice and salt, first thing in the morning acts as a bowel cleansing mixture. The salt content helps pass stools quickly and easily. Mix a teaspoon of lemon juice in a glass of warm water. Add a pinch of salt to the solution. Drink this juice on an empty stomach to relieve constipation.

 

Orange

 

Orange is an excellent fruit that contains vitamin C and fiber. Consuming two oranges daily, once in the morning and once in the evening, provides great relief from constipation.

 

Raisin

 

Raisins are full of fiber and act as an excellent natural laxative.

Soak a few dried grapes in water overnight and drink in the morning on an empty stomach. It also helps in relieving constipation during pregnancy.

 

Greens

Greens are known to have colon cleansing and also rejuvenating properties. You can drink about 100 ml of spinach juice mixed with equal amount of water twice a day. It helps relieve your constipation.

Triphala powder

 

Triphala powder is a combination of three ingredients namely Gooseberry, Mustard and Gooseberry. It acts as an excellent laxative and also improves bowel function.

Mix 1 teaspoon of this powder in 1 liter of warm water and drink it with honey. Drinking this mixture early in the morning on an empty stomach before going to bed will help relieve your constipation.
